Ciertas apps son esenciales, como el navegador o el gestor de correo electrónico. Apple es muy buena sabiendo lo que es esencial, pero algunas cosas se le escapan. Si ya es sangrante que los iPad no incluyan calculadora, hoy traigo una app que ni iPhone ni iPad incluyen: diccionario. Pero no cualquier diccionario, uno rápido, ligero y multi idioma; Diccionario Compacto. Una app tan esencial que te hará dudar si no la tuviste siempre instalada.
Ventajas
Rápida y muy ligera. ¡Solo ocupa 0,2MB!
Muchos idiomas, añade los que quieres y recibe resultados múltiples.
Funciona sin conexión a Internet.
O haz clic sobre el idioma que te interesa para ver resultados en detalle.
Añade una búsqueda web directa, por si necesitas saber más sobre esa palabra.
Desventajas
Debes empezar por instalar los diccionarios que quieres. Al abrir la app haz clic en "Gestionar" y descarga tantos idiomas como desees.

Today, I bring you the best tool you can get in your travels (besides a fat wallet! :P): Compact Dictionary. Who walks around with a book this day and age? Not me. I'd rather use my phone, thanks! Plus, you can use this dictionary offline; so don't worry about that 3G connection.

The interface is a tad too minimalistic. Just tap on "manage" to start using any dictionary.

Wörterbücher gibt es wie Sand am Meer. Meistens sind sie aber erstaunlich kompliziert zu bedienen oder man muss mit dem Internet verbunden sein um überhaupt etwas nachschlagen zu können. Kompaktwörterbuch ist wahrscheinlich die beste App ihrer Art mit vielen zusätzlichen Wörterbüchern zum herunterladen und offline benutzen.
