When you’re adding gradients to your app designs, you could choose to add a linear or radial gradient fill, butttt if you really want to add some character to your gradients, it’s best to use shape blurs. Let me show you how a UI Designer makes some custom gradients. BTW, this has the added effect of being able to animate the blur as well!
So you could draw some blob shapes, or you can use a plugin in Figma like the Blobs plugin. This generates random blobs that help to bring out the character we’re after. Stack them on top of each other, and give them some punchy colors. The only thing to note here is try to keep the hues close together. If you use a red with a blue or a green with a pink, it may add a bit too much and not feel very smooth.
So once you have your blobs setup, group them all in a frame and then add a blur to the frame. The blur should be 150-300px of blur. Soooo like really really blurry. But this is how you get the nice blend effect in the ui design.
Finally, a nice touch to add is to overlay a layer of noise on top of the blurred group. Make sure the fill is set to overlay so that it blends correctly with the colors.
