🎄 What was most memorable?
❄️ The New Year's atmosphere at 30°C was a special feeling. The resort decorated the Christmas tree, the restaurants, and even Santa Claus was wearing shorts! 🎅
🏊 Active recreation: snorkeling with turtles and reef sharks (they're very small and safe), kayaking, and SUPing.
🦎 Island wildlife: monitor lizards, ghost crabs, and tropical birds. Our 11-year-old son was delighted!
🎆 Hotel traditions: New Year's Eve dinner with fireworks, pool parties, and special activities for children. Many Maldivian resorts prepare a rich holiday program in December and January.
☀️ Weather: December and January are the dry season in the Maldives. There's almost no rain, the water temperature is 28°C, and the air temperature is 30°C. Perfect!
📌 Our tips for New Year's in the Maldives
Book in advance—prices are higher during high season, and popular hotels are booked out six months in advance.
Check the New Year's Eve dinner—it's often an extra charge and not included in the tour.
Be sure to bring good sunscreen and mosquito repellent.
For snorkeling, it's best to bring your own mask and snorkel—it's more convenient.
🔔 Follow and click the bell—new countries and unusual routes are ahead.
