Jenny Bhatt started translating from her mother's letters , which was her first intimate experience of translating Gujarati text to English. Her book Ratnodholi - The best stories of Dhumketu is a translation of some of the timeless short stories written in the pre Independence era. These stories have themes like identity, caste system, national pride that are still relevant in todays time. In this interview we talk in detail about some nuances of translation and Jenny's journey so far as a published author both in India and in the US.
