When Deniz gets accepted to medical school, she feels like she's at the start of a new life. What she doesn't realize is that her life will change dramatically from that day on. After living in a small Anatolian town with her nurse mother for years, Deniz sees the big city for the first time that year. For the first time, she's forced to live in a completely different environment, the world of the wealthy. For the first time, she learns that her father, whom she thought was dead for years, is alive. She meets her real father for the first time, learns to confront the hostility of her biological siblings. And falls in love for the first time. In other words, that year, Deniz learns about life.
