With your PC connected to the internet, open your web browser and visit capcut.com. If you do not have account with CapCut, click Signup for free button and create account on it. After you sign up on CapCut, sign in if that is not done automatically. CapCut graphic designer works like Canva graphic design app.
On the start screen, click Image option. Select blank template option. On the next page, type the dimensions of the book cover you want to create, and hit Apply button.
CapCut editor section allows you design your book cover proper. By the left margin, you will see some tabs that contain some tools for you to complete your book cover design task. These tabs are design, upload, pictures, text, apps, shapes and others. You do not necessarily need to interact with all to create your design.
To add text in CapCut, click text tab. Click the text style you want to use for the design and it will be added in the editor. You can change text color, size, font, and spacing.
How to add picture in CapCut is also explained in this CapCut tutorial for beginners. Just click the Pictures tab, click the button to add pictures on the platform. This will open the file explorer of your computer. Click the folder you saved the picture and double-click on it to be imported in CapCut Pictures tab. Once it loads, click on it and it is added in the editor area. You can do the same thing by taking your cursor to the image, long press on the left button of your mouse, and drag to the editor.
It is recommended you remove background of pictures before importing them on CapCut. To achieve this, visit remove.bg website. The steps to achieve this is explained in this video as well.
