TSHOOT Cisco Networks in Packet Tracer - Layer 2 EtherChannels and PortChannel w/ 802.1q
A short explanation into troubleshooting a layer 2 fault on a Packet Tracer lab.
In a recent lab we were expected to follow a TSHOOT challenge set out in packet tracer. The lab should have been simple enough and comprising of a mismatch of protocols and some missing configuration. Unfortunately the lack of functionality in the Packet Tracer engine meant that the lab actually had no faults at all and worked out of the box. Rather than putting the trouble ticket down as "It works, must be user error" I spun up the same lab in EVE-NG and documented the outcome here.
