A short story inspired by William Eggleston's photography and a look into J. Robert Oppenheimer's mind after creating the Atomic Bomb.
The creation of this story came from staring at William Eggleston's photography for long stretches of time. I tried to come up with an explanation for Eggleston's expression in the featured photo and landed on what it may feel like to be the creator of something that caused so much destruction.
It begs the question of what evils are actually necessary and what we should stop ourselves from creating.
