Here's the latest episode of Dark Souls II Dissected, which is all about the chest found in the basement of the Majula Mansion (sometimes aka the "Treasure Box"). There was an online feature that allowed it to be stocked with new items, though sadly this was never used for Scholar of the First Sin and several weapon reskins were never made available for it.
