Zomboid Roleplay S2 E2: Hope in Fort Liberty
The Fort Liberty expedition has once again been driven out of their laboratory. Dr. Ross and many others have been scattered, and some are presumed lost for good. Three survivors have retreated back to the Riverside tavern.

-The Story So Far-
Fort Liberty. The only known bastion of humanity 10 years after infection. But something has changed: a few fortunate survivors are showing signs of resistance to infection.
Volunteer residents of Fort Liberty have formed The First Expedition and have left the fort to restore a laboratory for Dr. Lee's research. If they succeed, the world might know a vaccine or even a cure for infection. If they fail, the residents of Fort Liberty may be among the last humans to ever walk the earth alive. And beyond the fort walls, the walking dead continue to evolve...
-The Stakes-
The players must gather materials, equipment, and books to assemble a laboratory and conduct research. Special research characters must then produce a vaccine, and later a cure, to reach the first and second stages of victory. But if all characters die, this story dies with them.
If successful, the characters will have the opportunity to weaponize the cure against the infected. The third and final stage of victory will be to eradicate the infected from Kentucky.
Players begin the game with 5 character creation points. More creation points are added as players complete secret character objectives.
Players must have a researcher in the field at all times. If a researcher dies, the next player to die must join as a researcher. Each player may only play the researcher class one time. If a player must play a researcher but they have already played a researcher and died, the players may burn (permanently spend) an increasing number of character creation points to field additional researchers.
If a player must create a researcher but is unable to do so, Fort Liberty's researchers have all died and all hope is lost.
