Pruning regular (non-everbearing) raspberries should be done immediately after harvesting to ensure that all the nutrients go only to the necessary shoots and the foundation for next year's crop, rather than being wasted on everything else.

Of course, you can prune raspberries in the fall, but the later you prune, the greater the yield loss, as the raspberry has to feed all branches, including unnecessary ones.
Regular summer raspberries bear fruit on two-year-old shoots, meaning next year's harvest will come from shoots that grew this summer.

What to remove:
Branches that have borne fruit. They are easy to distinguish; they are brown and woody.
All small shoots that spread from the bush. It won't do any good, and it will drain your strength.
Thin, diseased, damaged, weak shoots
Leave 5-8 of the best, strongest shoots in the bush. Which will yield next year's harvest.
We apply phosphorus-potassium fertilizers.
You can use DianAgro's organic mix for autumn-spring tillage and chloride-free potassium fertilizer (an organic potassium fertilizer made from sunflower ash extract). You can also use OrganicMix Autumn or any other autumn fertilizer.
You can mulch the soil with compost, wood chips, or horse bedding (if you use it).
If there are spots, it's best to treat with products such as Skor, Ridomil Gold, Strobi, etc.
If you notice thickening on the shoots, this is a gall midge infestation.
I treat with products such as Batrider.

For pruning, it's convenient to use loppers with long handles, especially if the raspberries are prickly.

Tools, gloves, aprons, as well as organic fertilizers, treatment products, and much more can be purchased on our website.

To ensure better ventilation and sunlight for your raspberries, use trellises. They will keep your raspberry bushes looking neat and will make harvesting much easier!

Don't deny yourself the pleasure of a neat raspberry patch.
