Vertical Video Syndrome Solutions in FCPX 2017
Vertical Video Syndrome, is when someone hold their phone the wrong way when recording video. With the popularity of smartphones, every video editor will come across vertical video sooner or later. Instead of leaving the hideous black bars on each side, there are a few ways to make the video appear a little more pleasing to the eye. The most simple way is dropping a backgrounds generator behind the video. Not a perfect solution, but better than black bars. Another method, and you probably have seen this method used on the news, is scaling up the video, dropping it in the background, and applying a blur effect to it.
