The best and the first option is using LG TV browser. Open the LG TV browser and go to MLB.com to start watching.

The third option is using iphone, ipad screen mirroring, unfortunately while using this option you can’t use your iphone.
Casting from the MLB app to an LG TV also doesn't work. As you can see on the screen, the MLB isn't detecting the LG TV to cast, but it is detecting Google Chromecast.
