Welcome to Tofu Tutorials. Today's video is all about how to use pen tool in Photoshop. We are leaving a note that we are using Adobe Photoshop CC. And HEY! , We are Glad to tell you that THIS IS OUR FIRST VIDEO TUTORIAL ABOUT PHOTOSHOP. So let's Start!
First , when you open your Photoshop you can see this create new. But if this didn't show Go to FILES and select NEW.
So this is all about pen tool so I will choose the canvas size of 1920x1080 ( you can chose canvas size of your own) 300 resolution and White background.
SORRY I FORGOT TO SHOW THE CANVAS SETTING IN THIS VIDEO I REALLY APOLOGIZE FOR THAT.
I'm using an old laptop version so in my case our laptop doesn't support these features in Photoshop.
Here we go! Click this pen icon for Pen tool or simply press " P " In your keyboard.
And now we have the Pen Tool, so what is PATH and SHAPE PATH?? okay so please note that we aren't that Professional to teach you how to use Photoshop BUT we are sharing our experience using Photoshop. I am currently studying Photoshop and I want to share with you what I Know.
The difference between PATH and SHAPE PATH is that PATH is NOT FILLED so if you save this as image Paths won't show in the picture because it's not filled. and SHAPE PATH is FILLED
So to use Pen tool Click first and then Drag to make a curve. Then to draw RIGHT CLICK and select STROKE PATH then Right click again and select DELETE PATH. So if you save this as a picture these lines will show on the pic because stroke is now VISIBLE. But if you want to stroke the path you need to go to BRUSH TOOL , Pen tool depends on Brush Tool. I use soft round Pressure ( Plz continue to watch the video )
Now on the Shape path. This is where the path is filled it is based on the color you choose to make it Filled , also the path depends on the color of your like to make the Stroke have color.
