Another fine autumn day dawned, and my Jagdterrier, Yurt, and I set out into the forest to search for a badger, a very dangerous animal for dogs. He's at home in his burrow, knowing all the paths and holes. Badgers have virtually no natural enemies; they're unafraid of anyone and can easily tear an inexperienced dog apart in his burrow. This time, luck was on our side: the burrow was temporary, with only one opening, and the badger was cornered by Yurt, dug out, and hunted.
