In this video, I show you how to install the new USB3 Host Firmware on the Raspberry Pi 4, This will drop the temperatures on the Pi 4 1Gb 2GB 4GB model by 3c - 5c because it saves about 300mW power and helps the Pi4 to run cooler.
This update will work on the Pi 4 1GB Pi 4 2GB or The Raspberry Pi 4 4GB version.
To install rpi-eeprom-update, update and upgrade your Raspbian and then install the rpi-eeprom package:
sudo apt update
sudo apt upgrade
sudo apt install rpi-eeprom
Now, run the following command to check the status of the bootloader + VL805 code:
sudo rpi-eeprom-update
