Though lots of people in Sandstorm think AS VAL is useless, my experience tells a different story.
Although it is definitely not as Honey Badger, it is not too bad for rushing thanks to its rate of fire and internal suppressor.
As for Galil, it is a very versatile pick for Gunner class, as you can use it as either a traditional assault rifle or a SAW and equip the drum mag. A nice bonus is that you can use the built-in bipod for free if you don't choose a vertical foregrip.
