Why Beech? Beech wood, available in both European (Fagus sylvatica) and American (Fagus grandifolia) varieties, offers distinct characteristics suitable for a variety of applications. European Beech has a pale creamy golden color with a pinkish brown heartwood, often steamed to achieve a uniform brown hue. American Beech, found along the Eastern Seaboard of the USA and Canada, exhibits more color variation, ranging from light pink to reddish-brown with a possible silvery sheen.
