How To Work With iPhone 12's Dolby Vision HDR Footage in FCPX
UPDATE: if you want normal non HDR Dolby Vision footage you can go into your camera settings and under video you can turn HDR off. This is what I’ll probably end up doing for now.
How To Work With iPhone 12's Dolby Vision Footage in FCPX
Got your new iPhone 12 and having issues with the Dolby Vision HDR footage that the iPhone 12 produces when working with FCPX? Well, at least I was having some issues. So in this video, I go through a few things I've tried and some basic colour grading to get the footage to work within a standard SDR Rec709 FCPX project. I know that working with new footage can sometimes be tricky. I'm learning like everyone else. Hopefully, we can learn this stuff together. If anyone has a better workflow or learns a way to use the iPhone 12 Dolby vision footage in FCPX please leave it below.
