Python and PiFace on Raspberry Pi - The Basics
It's pretty easy to get started with Python on the Raspberry Pi using the PiFace device. In this video, we'll write a simple script to turn on an LED on the PiFace using Python.
All of the work is done on the Raspberry Pi in this video, so having direct access to your Raspberry Pi device is important. You can do that with either a keyboard and monitor/television or by having your Raspberry Pi connected to your home network and using secure shell (SSH) to remote in to the command line.
You'll need to have some familiarity with a text editor. There are a variety of text editors available on a Linux command line. I make use of one of the most basic and easy to use: nano.
By following the instructions in the video, you'll be able to turn on the first LED on the PiFace and then modify the script to turn it off. I'll be expanding on these exercises in the weeks to come, so be sure to LIKE and SUBSCRIBE and I'll see you all again in the next video.
