A prototype version of a HD remake of the classic Mortal Kombat 1 was released on a russian forum days ago. I sadly do not know who the creator is and I also do not think that this is the same version that was started back on the TRMK forum with the community. This is because this version runs on the GameMaker engine while the original project was running on MUGEN. Sprites and sounds were released to the public so anyone could've started the project again using the same assets.
Nevertheless this is an AMAZING prototype. Graphics are absolutely amazing and the gameplay is near perfect to classic MK1. Definetely worth a try even if it's just a small prototype. I want to credit team Eyeballistic for their efforts on the original MKHD project. This prototype basically uses their assets.
