How to Change the Playback Speed of a YouTube Video! This easy setting allows you to play a video at a slower or faster speed without changing the pitch or key of the music! Some useful reasons to do so include:
1) Making the playback speed slower so you or your students can perform with the music in a video more easily. Many publishers post their arrangements and compositions on YouTube with great recordings. Awesome performers post themselves playing or singing repertoire you or your students might be performing. Now you can sing or play along with those videos at a slower tempo until you can handle the original speed.
2) Transcribing music. When you slow down the playback tempo of a passage of music - whether it's a trumpet solo by Dizzy Gillespie or a guitar solo by Eddie Van Halen - it's easier to transcribe the notes at a slower speed.
