Mazda RX-Vision Concept Walkaround : 2015 Tokyo Motor Show
Arguably the biggest unveiling at the 2015 Tokyo motor show was the Mazda RX-Vision sports car concept: a rotary-engined coupe that previews the Japanese car maker’s vision for an upcoming Mazda RX-9 production model.
Mazda has confirmed that a next-generation rotary engine is currently in development, though the company hasn’t given a firm timeline or any specifics of to the engine’s availability or capability.
Emphasising the importance of the concept and its likelihood to reach production in the near future, Mazda CEO Masamichi Kogai described the RX-Vision concept as “the embodiment of Mazda’s vision for the future.”
We jumped up on the stage with Mazda Australia’s Steve Maciver to get a closer look at the stunning concept.
