Dick Grayson is a superhero from DC Comics. He was created by Bob Kane, Bill Finger, and Jerry Robinson. He first appeared in Detective Comics #38 in April 1940.
For many years, Dick was Batman's staunch ally. His nickname, "Robin the Boy Wonder," and the medieval look of his original costume were inspired by the legendary Robin Hood, as well as the red-breasted robin, continuing the "flying animal" theme.
