Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores (DLC) Review
We have a large number of presenters at Gamekings who hold the Horizon franchise in high regard. And not just because the game is made in the Netherlands. Even if it were made in Southern Siberia, the Horizon games would still be among the most beautiful games of this era. They always offer an exceptionally impressive and fascinating world. It's no wonder we were eager to play Horizon Forbidden West's first DLC, Burning Shores, when it released. Jelle locked himself away for a weekend and got to work on the expansion. What new adventure did Guerrilla have in store for him, and did the DLC offer truly new gameplay, or was it, as often happens with DLC, just more of the same? Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores Review: Aloy is Back
Burning Shores is an expansion for Horizon Forbidden West and is released exclusively for PS5. Unfortunately for PS4 owners, this DLC is therefore not available for them. The DLC takes Aloy to the Burning Shores, a volcanic archipelago formed from the ruins of Los Angeles. The DLC is accessible after completing the main story. So be sure to keep that in mind. If you haven't completed the campaign, don't play the DLC. The area is located south of No-Man Land, the Hades Proving Lab, and the eastern entrance to Spinebreak. Just so you know where to go.
