FIELD HIDER LITE FOR ODOO
What it does
Field Hider Lite lets administrators hide fields from specific user roles without writing any code.
Features:
• Choose any Odoo model.
• Select the field you want to hide.
• Choose which user groups are allowed to see the field.
• Users outside those groups will no longer see the field in Forms, Lists, Kanban views, or Search views.
• Disable or delete a rule at any time to make the field visible again.
• No Developer Mode required.
• No XML customization.
• No custom views.
• No server restart.
Technical Information
Field Hider Lite provides a simple management interface for Odoo's built-in field visibility system.
Main model:
field.visibility.rule
Only users with Administration (Settings) access can manage visibility rules.
Installation
1. Copy the syncsoft_field_hider_lite module into your Odoo addons directory.
2. Update the Apps list.
3. Search for "Field Hider Lite".
4. Click Install.
Important
If you hide a required field, users who cannot see that field may be unable to create or save new records unless a default value is available.
Compatible with Odoo 16 Community and Enterprise.
