What is VMware Workstation Pro?
VMware Workstation Pro is a 64-bit hosted hypervisor intended to implement virtualization on Microsoft Windows and Linux endpoint computers, such as desktop, LAPTOP and SERVERS.
What Is Red Hat Enterprise Linux?
Red Hat Enterprise Linux in short RHEL is basically a server operating system developed by Red Hat for commercial use. Now Red Hat released RHEL for multiple platforms. RHEL is available for physical, cloud, and virtual environments. Red Hat has a released operating system for desktops too. It’s one of the most powerful Linux distributions that come with large package repositories to run commercial-grade server applications.
Downloading and Installing VMware
Firstly, we need the installation file of VMware Workstation Player 17. To download the installation file, click here first, and then click the Download Now link on the bottom of the VMware page as shown in the image below. It might take a few minutes depending on your internet speed.

After downloading the installation file, double-click on it and start the installation. If Windows would want permission to start the installation, say Yes to continue. Then, click on Next.

Accept the license agreement by checking the box, and click on Next.
End-user License Agreement
You can uncheck the first option. If you want to check or uncheck both of them, they're both OK. It doesn't matter. Click on Next.
Custom Setup
You don't have to change anything. Click on Next and continue.
User Experience Settings
I don't like unnecessary shortcuts on my desktop, so I've unchecked the Desktop box, it depends on your preferences. You also can continue by clicking on Next without changing anything.

It will be installed in a few minutes depending on your computer's configuration.

Click on Finish. Done! Now, find VMware Workstation by opening the Start Menu and typing "VMware", then click on it.

How to Install RedHat 9 Enterprise Linux on VMWare Workstation?
Fier up VMWare Workstation
Download the VMWare Workstation application for your host operating system and install it on your machine. The installation procedure is pretty simple and straight. Read the documentation for more details. Open the app after installation. Create a new Virtual Machine.

Select Custom Configuration Wizard
You can choose either Typical or Custom Wizard. We recommend selecting Custom if you want to install with all the configurations. If you are okay with default configurations then go ahead with Typical configurations.

Press the Play button to power on the Virtual Machine.

After initiating the installation. You will be treated with a welcome screen on which you will see the option to select the language. Select your language and click Continue.

Configure the required installation settings
Set the Keyboard, Language supports, Time and Date settings, Software package selections for installation, root password, Installation media, and disk partition information to proceed with the installation of RHEL.
