The European Commission recently predicted the EU’s economic growth for the next 2 years at less than 1.5%, shrinking to 1.2% by 2027 - a decline from 2%-2.5% at the turn of the century – and with more sluggish growth for the following few years. Meanwhile, even with China’s economy slowdown and regional COVID hangovers, growth targets for the ASEAN-6 nations* are overwhelmingly bullish. ABN-AMRO and others are predicting this region’s economies to grow 4.9% in 2023 and 5.2% in 2024.
In this talk, Paul will help you explore and compare the economic engine rooms of the EU and ASEAN and look at various economic drivers and opportunities, including population, economic policies, environmental factors and more.
