Universal will release Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 on Dec. 5, 2025, continuing Blumhouse’s horror franchise after the original became the highest-grossing horror film of 2023. Directed by Emma Tammi and produced by Jason Blum and Scott Cawthon, the sequel opens a new chapter of animatronic terror. Promising higher stakes and “no second chances,” Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 expands the FNAF universe with a darker, more intense storyline that builds on the series’ box-office success.
