3,000 Marines Sent to the Gulf as Trump Considers Seizing Kharga
The 82nd Airborne Division has just received orders to deploy to the Middle East. Up to 3,000 paratroopers from Fort Liberty, North Carolina, prepared to land in hostile territory within 18 hours, are heading to the Persian Gulf. Their destination is within striking distance of an island through which 90 percent of Iran's oil exports pass.
