OpenSCAD vs. FreeCAD - Using FreeCAD to Export a printable STL of an OpenSCAD Model.
OpenSCAD is great, I love making a simple model and wrapping it in a for loop and watch it grow. In my experience OpenSCAD falls a little short in the Render and Export as STL department. It can work. I have seen it work, but it requires a skilled operator ( not me ). FreeCAD, on the other hand, seems to create manifold STL from whatever model I have made. Using the OpenSCAD Workbench blends teh two into an STL grand master.
