Prelude to War
In this video elements of the 9th Fighter Wing, and a few public players join forces to destroy the Fenris Cylon Outpost and push them back. Of note is that several players continued to jump in and try and stop us, and did a great job at it. Obrien in a Glaive with the help of Kat in a Maul focused on destroying the Outpost while we worked on the fighters.
I used the song "Prelude to War" as it was VERY fitting. This is the first of three battles fought over Fenris where in this one the Colonials succeeded. In the next battle a number of skirmishes were fought over a time period and the Cylons were again repelled. See Prelude to War II for that. In the third and final battle we left system but returned as it was attacked. We repelled the Cylons only to have them return in mass numbers. They brought with them Escorts, and Line ships to finally drive off the Colonial Outpost.
Was all around a fantastic evening of fighting. We all had our victories and our defeats.
