Raiders Crown Cougars
The Prince Albert Raiders scored twice in the second period and twice in the third period to post a 5 ñ 2 victory over the Prince George Cougars in Western Hockey League play Wednesday night. Raiders Captain Josh Morrissey led the way with one goal and two assists while former Cougar Jordan Tkatch haunted his former team with a goal. David Soltes had a goal and an assist for the Cougars who were playing their first game in seven days. The Raiders improved their record to 14 and 14. Eight of their wins have come in 12 road games. Meantime the Cougars record dropped to 13 and 15 on the season and 8 and 9 at CN Centre. Craig Leverton, Reid Gardiner, and Gage Quinney also scored goals for the Raiders, who were kicking off a 7 game 11 day road trip. Brad Morrison scored for the Cougars who were outshot 34 ñ 26. Ty Edmonds suffered the loss in net for Prince George while Ryan Parenteau earned the victory.
