I bought a Mac Studio for about 170,000 rubles just for OpenClaw and local LLMs, and this is what came out of it. In a week, I deployed OpenClaw with a Telegram bot, configured local models via LM Studio (MLX format on Apple Silicon), additionally connected Open Router, and assembled a system of three agents: a researcher, a director, and a personal assistant with PostgreSQL and vector search.
To be honest about the limitations: parallel queries to the local model are slow for me, MLX vs. GGUF are a real difference in speed, and I deliberately bought a Mac Studio instead of a Mac Mini, and I'll explain why.
