Tony Northrup reviews the Sony 24-105mm f/4 G zoom lens against the Sigma 28-105 f/2.8 lens to see which is the ULTIMATE zoom lens! The Sony is cheaper and lighter, and it goes back to 24mm, and that extra wide-angle can be really important. However, the Sigma is sharper and has MUCH better contrast. It's also a full stop faster so it'll gather twice the light and produce cleaner low-light images with more background blur/bokeh/subject separation.
