I've been using neardrop on my macbook pro for over a year now and its fantastic. In the apple ecosystem we have airdrop but airdrop isn't available on android. If you want to connect your android phone to your apple laptop to transfer files it's a huge pain. My new pixel 8 pro is on the way and one of the things I am the most excited about is the new camera. Transferring files between my pixel 8 pro is going to be a headache.
