After hours of struggling in brutal winter mud, we weren’t giving up on this 8-ton truck.
I returned to the recovery site after trying to find help — but instead of tractors, reinforcements arrived in the form of experienced recovery friends and one serious machine: a Cummins-powered Nissan Patrol.
With three vehicles working together, clear communication and a lot of patience, we finally managed to pull the truck out of the ditch.
But just when we thought it was over… the load shifted violently and metal came crashing off the truck.
And the drama didn’t end there.
This recovery tested vehicles, equipment and teamwork in tough winter conditions.
