Kratos
God of War (commonly referred to as God of War 4 ) is a third-person action-adventure video game developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment.
It is God of War series, the eighth chronologically, and the sequel to 2010's God of War III. A new direction for the series, as it is loosely based on Norse mythology—all previous games were based on Greek mythology.
Series protagonist Kratos returns as the main character, and he now has a son named Atreus.
Kratos acts as a mentor and protector to his son, and has to master the rage that has driven him for many years.

In Greek mythology, Atreus was a king of Mycenae, son of Pelops and Hippodamia, and father of Agamemnon and Menelaus. In "God of War," Atreus is the son of Kratos and the giant Faye, and a central character in the game's narrative
