How to animate a camera along a spline in Cinema 4D
First, create a torus and rotate it 90 degrees around the X axis. Then create a tube, increase its height, rotate it 90 degrees around the X axis and move it forward and to the right.
After that switch to the Top view, click on the Spline Pen and draw a spline through the torus and the tube.
Now, switch back to the Perspective view, create a camera, right click on the Camera object, select Animation Tags and click on Align to Spline tag. Then drag the spline into the Spline Path field, check the Tangential box and move the slider of the Position parameter.
Further, animate the Position parameter of the Align to Spline tag. After pressing the Play Forward button on the animation toolbar, the camera moves along a spline.
Finally, switch to the camera view and play the animation again.
