Factory Reset Ubuntu: Is There a Command?
There isn't a single, universal command to perform a factory reset in Ubuntu like you might find on a phone. Ubuntu doesn't have a built-in "factory reset" feature. Reinstalling Ubuntu is the closest equivalent. You can reinstall from a bootable USB drive or DVD. During the installation process, you'll be prompted to choose an installation type. Selecting "Erase disk and install Ubuntu" will effectively wipe the drive and install a fresh copy. Alternatively, use `dpkg-reconfigure` followed by the package name to reset individual packages to their default settings, but this doesn't achieve a full factory reset of the entire system. Consider backing up important data before reinstalling.
