Swapping Wheels & Tires on 1/18 Scale Diecast Cars | DIY
Here I briefly show how to swap out the wheels & tires from one 1/18th car to another. I'm using an Ertl muscle car and a pack of GMP rims/tires, but the process is pretty much the same for Buragos, Maisto, Revell, Minichamps, UT Models, etc. If I do break any tabs, or an axle I normally use 2 part epoxy glue to re glue the wheels onto the tabs; in some cases you may have to drill out the tab and make your own axle out of a coat hanger wire or some other thick wire, or even maybe a wooden dowel rod. It's not as hard as you may think, you just have to get creative if the two types of brands do not perfectly mate up to one another. I hope it helps you, and you find it beneficial.
