So this week is round 2 of Lanas back yard!! There was so much work to do last week that this job had to be split into 2 parts! But don't worry there are before and after photos in both videos!! If you did miss last weeks video, you can watch it here: • Her Dog Was In SERIOUS Trouble In This Yar...
So the first thing was dealing with the Date palms! There were 2 growing near the fence, one of them must have been at least 20 years old or older!! Both likely dropped by a bird seed but the big one looks nice where it is i must say! And will be a nice feature in that little pergola area for years to come! However it was poorly trimmed and had many many dead limbs that needed to be trimmed off! (stick around to see me kill myself as i uproot the smaller date tree!!)
Once that was done i moved a bunch of the debris the last gardener left behind! I managed 3 dump runs this week but after running out of time and resources to do any more i left the rest in a compost pile that i started last week in a fenced off corner! (Every yard this size should have a compost heap)
Then it was off to uncover the ancient paving that must have not been seen for decades!! It took me by surprise and made this job a lot harder! I spent at least 25 hours here this week not including the work i did last week!! So i know it may not be perfect in the end but the scale of the job is just beyond 1 man to do in 2 weeks!
In the end i think i made an incredible difference and Lilly will be able to run around in safety for a good while! Lana mentioned how much she appreciated this and how she is going to try and stay on top of it from now on which is certainly a lot of weight off her shoulders!
