Poss Fatal Head On Crash / Rialto 11.13.19

RIALTO - On Wednesday morning, November 11, 2019, at 10:09am Rialto Firefighters were dispatched to reports of a head-on collision with one of the vehicles catching fire. Upon arrival, crews reported no fire coming from the vehicle, only smoke, with major damage to both vehicles and three trapped parties. Two inside a Cadillac and one inside a Ford Explorer. Crews started working on the patients and determined the patients inside the Cadillac required immediate attention. The occupants inside the Cadillac were a mother and a child. It took firefighters several minutes to free extricate the mother and her child. Upon extraction of the mother, Firefighters could be seen performing CPR. The mother was transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in critical condition, while the Child was transported to Loma Linda Children's Hospital in unknown condition. The occupant of the Ford Explorer was also later extracted and transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in moderate condition. The Rialto Police Department is investigating the traffic collision as a possible fatal head-on collison. The caujse of the crash has yet to be determined.
