Plant Lady Project EPISODE 1: let's Dye Fabric Free Quilting Tutorial and Pattern
Welcome to the new applique art quilt project from the Jelly Roll Club.
In this series you will learn to dye your own fabrics and use Inktense blocks to enhance your art quilts. We will practice a variety of thread painting techniques using a sewing machine and regular embroidery hoop. You will learn the basic to start on a journey towards collage quilting. If you have always wanted to learn about art quilting, join us for free lesson on art quilting. This project is perfect for new quilters and experienced quilters too.
In this lesson, I will show you how to dye plain white fabric with tea for a natural and beautiful base fabric. I will use the fabric to make the clay pots for the plant lady quilt.
