The NIHR Leeds Biomedical Research Centre’s 2020-21 Research
Seminar Series - ‘Preparing for your fellowship interview’ presented by
Dr Heidi Siddle, Dr Jane Freeman, Dr Rachael Kelley and David Bird. Recorded 19.00 on Tuesday 17th November 2020.

If you are preparing for a NIHR fellowship interview this year or thinking of applying sometime in the future, take this opportunity to meet with some of our past and current NIHR fellows.

Mr David Bird
David is a medical physicist working in the department in radiotherapy at Leeds Teaching Hospitals. David was awarded a NIHR CDRF fellowship to study for a PhD looking at the use of magnetic resonance imaging in the planning of radiotherapy for patients with anal and rectal cancers.

Dr Jane Freeman
Jane is a Clinical Scientist in Microbiology within Leeds Teaching Hospitals Trust and has been a Visiting Researcher at the University of Leeds since 2015. She works within the Healthcare Associated Infections (HCAI) Research Group, a multi-organisational (LTHT, UoL, PHE) research team lead by Professor Mark Wilcox. Jane holds a NIHR clinical lecturer fellowship.

Dr Rachael Kelley
Rachael is an visiting Research Fellow with research interests in the care of people with dementia and their families, and hospital services for people who self-harm. Rachael trained and worked as a mental health nurse for several years before coming to work as a researcher in the Leeds Institute of Health Sciences (LIHS).

Dr Heidi Siddle
Heidi is the clinical lead for the Foot and Ankle STudies in Rheumatology (FASTER) program in the Section of Clinical Biomechanics and Physical Medicine (Lead Professor Anthony Redmond). Her research focuses on long-term conditions affecting the foot and ankle. Heidi is a NIHR Senior clinical lecturer
