I learned a few things on this little adventure. The main thing is not messing with a working product if there is no need. I pulled the idler wheel apart to install different washers and an axle upgrade. I also learned not to use Mobil One when mineral oil was originally used. This needs a light oil, like mineral oil. I don't have that handy and being a little impatient, I decided to use some Labelle 102 gear oil for RC cars and model trains. Basically, also a very light oil, even though it is classified as "medium". I got the wheel back together and it spins pretty good. What do you think?

Also, a side note. The mounting hole diameter on the idler arm is 3mm. My shaft is 2,45mm, but once tightened, does not wobble in the slightest. We'll move forward with this setup and do final assembly on the High Desert Goldring Lenco GL75 later today. Maybe we can spin some vinyl tonight?
