It's easy to get overwhelmed with so many font choices. Your challenge is choosing the right type to tell a story. Fonts are tools that can take readers back in time, or transport them somewhere new. How does a design use type to effectively communicate a message, whether it’s branding, editorial or just informational? Editorial art director and designer Valerie Sebring will show you how she uses textures, elements, and embellishments to transform type into a work of art.
Valerie Sebring is a Graphic Designer and Art Director who has a rich experience in many design niches including advertising, editorial, animation, and illustration. She spent seven years as an Art Director at Worth Magazine and Watch Journal Magazine, and her editorial type design was published in Society of Publication Designers’ (SPD) Design Annual in 2013. She is currently working as an in-house Graphic Designer/Media Specialist at The Polo Club of Boca Raton Florida.
