How to Clean 99Ci Shredder IR Sensor
If your unit is running constantly or you’re noticing a reduction in sheet capacity, it’s likely your sensor may need cleaning. Follow these steps when cleaning your 99Ci series sensor.
You’ll need:
70% diluted alcohol and water
Few sheets of paper towel
Q-Tip
Step 1
Completely power down the unit and unplug from the outlet
Step 2
Apply the diluted alcohol to the Q-Tip or paper towel
Step 3
Insert Q-Tip or paper towel inside the paper throat and wipe the sensor
Step 4
Plug the unit back in and press the power button
