According to recent studies and demographic trends, higher education institutions may have a challenging road ahead of them over the next couple decades. The College Enrollment Cliff is a projected decline in college enrollment numbers across the United States that is expected to occur in the year 2025. Naturally, higher education institutions of all types are preparing themselves for this phenomenon and preparing recruitment strategies that will carry them through these potentially difficult years. As I discuss this potential issue with John Brown University's President, Dr. Charles Pollard, my goal is to look back at the history of higher education in America for key insights on how our institution ought to move forward into the next decade.
