Ideation Should Look Like a Funnel
A good idea-making process should have more ideas/research/sketches than you could ever need upfront so that you can just filter down to what is best at the bottom. Imagine that the 80/20 rule applies to your work: only 20% of your work will make it to the end of the process, so make sure you do enough that the final 20% is truly great.
